Company
Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support processing of US income tax, including all corporate income and indrect tax, and general process improvement. In this role you will report to the Tax Manager and work with other analysts to ensure deadlines are being met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, international, state, and municipal corporate income and franchise tax returns, including compliance with forms such as 5472, 5471, 1120-F, and 8858.
- Prepare and review quarterly income tax provision work papers, including effective tax rate schedules, flux analysis, deferred balances, and reserve schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and auditors to gather information, address findings, and incorporate recommendations into compliance filings.
- Identify and implement process improvements, document procedures, and resolve discrepancies with tax authorities.
- Support staff development by providing guidance on technical tax matters and business soft skills.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare ad hoc reports for management while ensuring accurate preparation of extensions, estimated tax calculations, and account reconciliations.
Requirements
- BA degree in Accounting with minimum 3 years of tax experience
- Hands-on tax experience from a large CPA firm or corporate tax department
- Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax laws, ASC 740, IAS 12, US GAAP, and IFRS standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
