We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing our company's tax strategies and compliance with regulations. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review corporate federal and state income tax returns (1120C) and ensure timely filing.
2. Analyze and document tax positions and strategies in accordance with ASC 740 and other relevant accounting standards.
3. Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures.
4. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide effective solutions.
5. Work closely with the accounting team in the preparation of year-end and quarterly tax provision calculations.
6. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
7. Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits.
8. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
9. Maintain and update the company's tax database and prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
10. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of three years of progressive experience in tax accounting or tax analysis, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of ASC 740, 1120C, and other relevant tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce relevant insights.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex tax information clearly.
6. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to preparing accurate, high-quality work.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions based on research.
