Senior Tax Accountant
Location:
Worcester, MA (On-Site/Hybrid; 2-3 days in office, up to a 1-hour commute radius)
Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

•& & & Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Assist in monthly tax accruals and journal entries to ensure accurate and timely filings.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Conduct tax research and advise clients on tax strategies to optimize their financial position.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Use QuickBooks to manage and review client records (QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required).
& & & & & & & & •& & & Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide tailored advisory services.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Perform general accounting functions, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications:

& & & •& & & Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
& & & & & & & & •& & & 2-4 years of experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or audit.
& & & & & & & & •& & & QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
& & & & & & & & •& & & Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
& & & & & & & & •& & & Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
