Senior Tax Accountant - Asset Management

New opening on the Tax team of a top, global Asset Management firm. This role will be responsible for supporting the tax preparation, including underlying workpapers and calculations. Ideal candidates will have some experience with Form K-1, W-8, as well as supporting Financial Services corporate structures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain tax account analysis, reconciliations, and monthly journal entries
• Partner with business units to ensure appropriate consideration of tax implications of business initiatives and transactions, performing research or liaising with external advisors as necessary
• Respond to internal and external inquiries, notices and audits
• Responsible for preparation of Partner Taxes & Fund Taxes
• Perform technical accounting research and develop accounting policies
• Prepare and review monthly tax account roll forwards and reconciliation schedules
• Collaborate with senior management and external tax advisors to research tax planning opportunities
• Work closely with internal Finance teams of investment funds to understand country specific tax impact to firm and local tax filings
• Advise upper management on tax matters, future changes to tax regulations and possible impact to the organization

Requirements:

• 3+ years of either Corporate Tax, or Public Accounting experience with corporate clients
• International Tax experience is preferred, but not required
• Exceptional analytical and logical problem solving skills
• Ability to work on multiple areas/projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines
• Comfortable learning customized software applications
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
