We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to play an integral role in our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of tax regulations, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a track record of delivering accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring our company's compliance with tax laws and regulations. Your duties will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns (1065, 1041).
2. Researching complex tax matters and providing guidance to management.
3. Assisting with tax planning and strategy to minimize tax liabilities.
4. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensuring company compliance.
5. Coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants.
6. Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
7. Managing tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities.
8. Maintaining and improving internal controls related to tax processes.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on preparing 1065 and 1041 tax forms.
3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
4. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
