The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for providing expert tax advice and preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, estates, trusts, and corporations. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to navigate complex tax scenarios to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, estates, trusts, and corporations.
- Advise clients on tax strategies and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance and recommendations.
- Assist in the development of tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities.
- Review work prepared by junior tax accountants and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients' tax strategies.
- Maintain and build client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience with tax preparation software such as CCH.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
