We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our local CPA firm. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Analyze financial records, reports, and tax return data.
3. Research, analyze, and interpret tax laws and provide guidance to clients and management.
4. Develop tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant and tax-efficient.
5. Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits.
6. Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area.
7. Provide support with various internal and external financial audits.
8. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
9. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA is a plus.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting.
3. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and case law.
4. Excellent research and interpretation skills of tax matters.
