We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning and compliance with a focus on maximizing efficiency and minimizing our tax liability. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with state, federal and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Conduct detailed tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
3. Perform quarterly and annual tax reconciliations, and prepare accurate tax reports for senior management.
4. Review financial statements to ascertain the accuracy of the reported tax expenses, assets, liabilities, and credits.
5. Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, liaising with auditors to ensure efficient completion of audits.
6. Provide internal teams with guidance on tax implications of business decisions, ensuring all actions taken comply with tax laws.
7. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure all tax strategies are in alignment with these changes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax compliance and planning.
3. Proficient in tax research with a solid understanding of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
4. Active CPA license is required.
5. Strong knowledge of financial statements, audit processes, and tax reconciliations.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply them to company operations.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong attention to detail.
