Our legal client located in Boston's Seaport is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant with expertise in High Net Worth Individuals, Private Client Trusts, and Estates. The role involves joining a growing team, reporting to the Director, and providing support to junior staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
- 7+ years' experience tax preparation required
- Previous experience working with High Net Worth Individuals, Private Client Trust, fiduciary, charitable, partnership required
- Prior tax accounting experience in a mid-size or larger professional industry work environment is preferred.
- Experience ProSystem-fx and Onesource Trust Tax required
- Advanced knowledge of applicable tax codes and code changes.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares timely filed fiduciary, gift tax, foundation, partnership, and personal tax returns with an emphasis on more complex tax returns and problem resolution.
- Works closely with the Director, and provides back up if they are out and supports the Junior staff as needed. in both a supportive and collaborative process.
- Communicates directly with the clients of the department, and will review the tax preparation work of other Tax accountants.
- Provides expert tax advice to the Director, to the other Tax Accountants, and/or to the clients of the department.
