Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our client's team in West Palm Beach. This full-time position involves preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, calculating payroll and sales tax, preparing financial statements, and consulting with clients. The ideal candidate will have a CPA or enrolled agent status, extensive experience with QuickBooks, and at least six years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review all types of tax returns (Federal & State) including 1040, 1040NR, 1041, 1120/1120S, 1065, and 990.
- Manage all aspects of your client list.
- Review clients’ books and records, both live and after the fact.
- Oversee the bookkeeper's work, providing feedback and training as needed.
- Prepare financial statements and consult with clients.
- Conduct tax planning and projections.
- Address and resolve IRS/State notices, including communication and writing responses.
- Perform tax and accounting research as necessary.
Requirements:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent status (required).
- At least 6 years of public accounting and tax experience.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, LaCerte or similar software, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
