We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and progressive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate, state, local, federal, and international tax returns, as well as handling tax accounting tasks for our diverse clientele, which includes international enterprises, nonprofits, and manufacturing firms.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals.
2. Conducting tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies.
3. Assisting with federal and state audits.
4. Managing S Corporation, Trusts, and Estates tax matters.
5. Implementing succession planning strategies.
6. Handling multi-state and international tax matters.
7. Providing guidance on tax law and financial reporting implications.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
9. Working closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting firm.
3. Extensive knowledge of corporate tax returns, state and local tax, federal and state tax, tax preparation, and tax review.
4. Experience with audit and tax, S Corp, Trusts and Estates, succession planning, multi-state tax, and international enterprises.
5. Experience working with nonprofits and manufacturing firms is a plus.
6. Familiarity with tax law and financial reporting.
7. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
