Job Summary: Our publicly traded client is seeking a Senior Income Tax Accountant to join their team. The Senior Income Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, and providing support for tax planning and financial reporting. Our client offers a hybrid work environment and room for growth and promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of tax filings and documentation.
Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Assist in developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the corporation.
- Support management with tax-related insights and recommendations.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
- Reconcile tax accounts and prepare tax-related journal entries.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Audit and Risk Management:
- Support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective risk management practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to tax authorities' requests.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in tax laws and regulations.
- Provide support for tax planning projects and initiatives.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and procedures related to tax processes.
- Ensure all tax documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and other compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in income tax accounting
