DVS is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting an upcoming Proposal. This position will be onsite in Washington, D.C. with the potential for remote work.
- Must be Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert & Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification and at least five (5) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS); familiarity with basic network technologies and capable of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues; basic messaging system administration (e-mail); PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem (hard drive, memory, monitors, and power supplies) repair/replacement procedures;
- Respond to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system; perform hardware and software System, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability. Responsible for backup and recovery functions.
- Lead Systems Engineer based in DC responsible for leading systems engineering team located in DC and Ft Worth, TX, supporting 24x7x365 operations.
- Perform all tasks associated with the administration of virtual and physical servers, as well as the applications and services provided to the user community.
- Types of servers include, but are not limited to domain controllers, application servers, file and data servers, database servers, and electronic mail (e-mail) servers, Consolidate Security System (CSS), Isolated Security System domains, and Cloud base servers and workloads. Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to, hardware and software evaluation, testing, installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting; service pack, patch, and hotfix installations.
- Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents assigned via databases such as BMC Helix and Serena TeamTrack. Complete file and data backup and restore services; asset management; evaluating, testing, and upgrading hardware and software in accordance with Configuration Control Board (CCB) policies and procedures; iSCSI SAN connectivity, management, and administration; performance monitoring; building servers; configure and manage Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, and Nutanix virtualized environments; managing backup & recovery; anti-virus software and definition deployment.
- Experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Management (SCCM/MECM), Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), and Operations Manager (SCOM) for remote desktop administration, software and patch deployment management, system installations, configurations, deployments, and monitoring.
- Microsoft Exchange 2016/Exchange Online M365 for e-mail messaging communications; and Microsoft Intune for mobile device management & workstation configuration & update management in concert with SCCM/MECM.
