Senior Systems Engineer - Illuminate Mission Solutions

Illuminate is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with an active SECRET clearance to support a federal customer.  The Senior Systems Engineer supports the program’s systems and solution engineering effort.

The Senior Systems Engineer support to the mission includes, but is not limited to:

• Identify and capture program level requirements for new and upgraded cyber security systems that support the customer’s mission.
• Performed as part of a SAFe Agile implementation, with a specific focus on Epic definition and ART requirements.
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to establish high-level solution intent, and the solution intent information and documentation requirements.
• Provide requirements traceability support for enterprise-level documentation and artifacts.
• Be involved in the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) implementation across the program and customer environment.

**This position is eligible for maximum telework (>50%) for applicants residing in the National Capital Region (DC, MD, VA).**
**This position’s office location can be either Dulles, VA, or Rockville, MD.**

The Senior Systems Engineer shall possess the following qualifications:

• Clearance: Secret Clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI)
• Experience working in an Agile environment and using Agile tools
• SLDC experience
• Requirements analysis and management experience
• Lead Business Case creation experience
• Develop and communicate a technical solution
• Strong systems engineering
• Understanding of SAFe implementation
• Understanding of System of Systems
• Knowledge of MBSE implementation, maintenance, and usage
• Possess independent and collaborative work skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SysML
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in Risk Management
• Experience working in a cyber domain
