Job Description & Responsibilities :
- In this role you will be responsible for the continued development of an advanced, leading-edge, hybrid software system providing excellent technical guidance and team communication.
- As the Senior Systems Engineer you will function in an individual contributor, technical role in a SAFe Agile software development environment and will effectively work and communicate with all levels of the Engineers on the Program team.
- The Systems engineer will be responsible for contributing to the technical planning and capability / feature designs, and technical detailing for the agile product development teams.
- The System engineer will also work on a cloud solution, where parts of the system will be on the Cloud environment and other portions remain on a hardware environment
- The System engineer is required to have strong working knowledge of networking, infrastructure, cyber security, software design, software development and test
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Requirements derivation, capability development-analyze of complex requirements and determine viable software solutions
- Design and software interface specification, CONOPS development experience
- 5 yrs. Minimum Engineering experience on a large-scale distributed software system
- Experience defining acceptance criteria for capabilities for features that can be detail designed and developed by agile teams
- Understanding and application level experience conducting design and/or modeling activities
- Ability to decompose customer epics into capabilities that can then be decomposed by the development teams into features for development
- Interpret customer needs and convert them to achievable requirements or capabilities
- Adaptable to unexpected changes, analyzing impact, and communicating to stakeholders
- Ability to take a holistic approach coordinating with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders
- Experience using Architecture Frameworks such as DoDAF for definition of large systems with complex integration and interoperability challenges.
- Experience developing MBSE operational views for overview and details aimed to specific stakeholders within their domain and in interaction with other domains in which the system will operate
- AWS cloud experience - AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience, as a System Engineer or working directly with in such roles as Product Owner
- Experience using modeling resources and methodologies like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, etc.
- CompTIA Security + Certification Linux
- Experience with the Cloud technologies and Cloud migration, Containerization and databases, Automation (Build, Deploy, Test)
- Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and evaluation of COTS / FOSS applications
