Our client is seeking a talented and passionate professional to join their team in Norwalk, CT, where you'll enjoy a balanced work environment with three days on-site and two days working remotely.
The organization is embarking on an exciting journey to transform their infrastructure, embracing a cloud-centric approach. You'll be at the forefront of this transformation, working with a dedicated System Engineering Team and collaborating closely with the Desktop Support Team.
About the Role
As a key player in the technical team, you'll be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing a robust hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of both on-premise and cloud data centers, supporting critical business needs. Lead complex projects, provide strategic direction, and become a technical authority within the company.
What You Bring
- At least 8 years of experience in system administration and diverse technical support.
- Proven track record in managing hybrid environments, combining on-premise and cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in disaster recovery strategies and VMware virtual infrastructures, including ESX 7.0 host servers on Cisco UCS blade servers.
- Expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, particularly with VMware View and Azure Site Recovery.
- Strong skills in Azure cloud technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, and associated services like Azure AD, O365, and MFA.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, vCops, Websense, and Mimecast.
- Experience in Microsoft Office 365 Exchange, Teams, and other messaging platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or VMware Certification (VCP).
- Experience with Veeam for disaster recovery and cloud migration projects.
- Ability to configure and maintain mobile infrastructures using Intune, AirWatch, and other platforms.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and manage on-premise infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security of servers and SAN hardware.
- Oversee the configuration and management of Azure cloud infrastructure, facilitating seamless cloud migrations.
- Implement and maintain secure communication and collaboration platforms, including Office 365 and Azure services.
- Ensure data centers, both on-premise and cloud, operate efficiently and securely.
- Develop and support disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Lead complex projects that enhance security and system reliability.
- Manage relationships with vendors to maintain high service levels for outsourced services.
- Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical challenges.
