Your Responsibilities
The Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for transitioning engineered robotic systems into successful production operations. This scope includes involvement in the equipment design process to ensure a successful design, early hands-on machine (or equipment) testing, evaluating, validating and quantifying performance. The scope also includes the creation of test and bring-up procedures for production operations. As a core part of the R&D team you will assume primary responsibility of trouble-shooting system level issues, identifying root causes and driving resolutions and improvements to completion. The ideal candidate must be able to understand and troubleshoot issues in fields relevant to automation, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, as well as communicate effectively with other teams to ensure effective solutions are implemented. This role offers ample growth opportunities while working side-by-side with a motivated team to bring our innovative and exciting new technology to reality.
In this role you will:
- Engineer the transition of Fulfil's system from prototype to production machines
- Own machine start-up, bring-up and validation
- Quantify and track machine performance
- Support the team in designing for long term reliability by providing design input and by leading long term reliability testing campaigns, ensuring testing campaigns are designed to induce appropriate end-of-life failure modes
- Own equipment early in the product development cycle and lead system-level design verification tasks including test plan definition, issue identification and analysis, root cause designation, solution development, and resolution validation
- Develop and implement bring-up, calibration, test, and quality validation procedures and systems to ensure smooth deployment of hundreds of mechanisms in facilities across the country
- Leverage wide breadth of engineering knowledge to generate proper solutions to an equally diverse set of problems
- Lead projects requiring cross-team coordination, project management, resource management, decision making, and effective communication on tight timelines

- Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot a variety of system issues across multiple engineering disciplines
- Ability to generate ideas in response to complex issues and execute on solutions
- Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment
- Cares about the world and wants to have an impact on it
What we'd love to see
- Experience designing and manufacturing parts/assemblies/mechanisms
