Purpose:
The Systems Engineer will manage and maintain the infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications, ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operations. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing various system components while collaborating with technical teams to resolve roadblocks and deliver infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs.

Qualifications:
Must-Have:
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for monitoring and optimizing systems.
• 5+ years in software, hardware, or systems engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP addresses, DNS, and firewall rules.
• Familiarity with Linux systems for navigation, patching, disk management, and API management.
• Experience with SFTP, MQ messaging, and architecture involving F5 load balancers.
• Proficiency with Jira, Dynatrace, and knowledge of Jenkins is a plus.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies.
• Strong collaboration skills to solve technical problems across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, support, and optimize all networked software and operating systems to ensure efficient and stable operations.
• Use Dynatrace for monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure challenges, including hardware, operating systems, networking, firewalls, access management, and identity access management.
• Work with SMEs across technical domains to address roadblocks and ensure timely project delivery.
• Reboot and balance servers, apply patches, and manage Linux-based systems.
• Understand architecture, including ports, firewall rules, and F5 load balancers.
• Support SFTP operations for data transfer and MQ for messaging systems.
• Conduct daily standups, task/incident resolution, and collaborate with teams on operational challenges.
• Use tools such as Jira for project tracking and Dynatrace for monitoring.
• Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems and support root cause analysis.
• Evaluate new systems through testing, research, and analysis, recommending upgrades and improvements.
