Senior Systems Engineer - Scientific Research Corporation

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Researches, designs, develops, tests, or supervises the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial industrial, military, or scientific use
* Researches and implements integrations between various new/existing systems to provide new functionality
* Troubleshoots existing systems and identification of system shortfalls
* Researches, identifies, and recommends new innovative systems and technology as well as improvements for existing system functionality
* Develops new system documentation to support system transition
* Develops innovative ways of integrating novel technology into existing PORs
* Provides transition support for newly developed systems



MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:


* Secret Clearance (Must be eligible for Top Secret clearance)
* Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
* Ten (10) years of supervisory experience with at least eight (8) of those years of experience must be with SOF C5ISR systems as a systems engineer
* Genuine desire to solve unique, system-level problems
* Demonstrated creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to solve difficult technical problems with minimal oversight, established directions, or guidance
* Collaborative teamwork skills interacting across multiple disciplines including other systems engineers, software developers, integration teams, quality assurance, production personnel, and program managers
* Have developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:


* Active Top-Secret Clearance
* Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline
* Familiarity with Research and Development (R&D) Pipelines (identification, evaluation, integration, testing)
* Experience researching, identifying, and transitioning innovative technologies
* Familiarity with System Requirements and Key Performance Points Analysis
* Experience providing transition support for innovative systems and technology
* Experience in Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Analysis

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY
