About the Job
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will specialize in the analysis, design, and implementation of information systems. You will assess the suitability of these systems in relation to their intended outcomes, collaborating with end users, software vendors, and programmers to achieve optimal results. Using advanced analysis and design techniques, you will address business challenges through effective use of information technology. Acting as a change agent, you will identify necessary organizational improvements, design systems to implement those changes, and train and motivate others to maximize the benefits of these systems.
Your primary responsibility will be the support and maintenance of the 24/7 Energy Management Systems (EMS) at two control centers. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely update of the state estimator, contingency analysis, power flow, and the proper modeling of electric system changes. Additional duties include supporting various displays and database environments, providing operational support, troubleshooting, integration testing, and delivering user training.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain EMS Reliability: Update, monitor, and maintain the reliability of the Energy Management System (EMS) application.
- Power System Analysis: Support real-time operations by managing power system modeling, state estimator, contingency analysis, and power flow analysis.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve EMS system issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Linux Proficiency: Utilize intermediate-level Linux skills to perform system commands and configurations.
- Lead Technical Evaluations: Evaluate software application proposals from contractors and configure and test custom EMS enhancements.
- New Release Implementation: Support the testing and implementation of new EMS software releases.
- Project Management & Communication: Plan, organize, and lead meetings, and deliver presentations to all levels of management. Develop user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences.

Mandatory Qualifications: (Please read carefully. They MUST be shown on your resume)
- Proficiency in updating, monitoring, and maintaining EMS applications and power system modeling.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving EMS system issues.
- Intermediate experience with Linux OS commands.
- Ability to lead technical evaluations and configure EMS enhancements.
- Experience with testing and implementing new software releases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to all management levels and develop comprehensive user documentation.
- Capability to multitask and shift priorities as required by business needs.
- Experience with PSS/E suite, OSI Plant Information System, and real-time support of critical systems.
- Background in regulated cybersecurity environments, software design, programming, relational databases management, and SCADA systems, particularly Client XA21/Reliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scripting, and project management/Team Lead roles.
