About the Job
Boston Metal is commercializing cutting edge extractive metallurgy technology that will revolutionize primary metals production, while decreasing cost and lowering environmental impact. This fast-paced startup company is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing Project Management Office team.
Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, this position will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and secure use of technology across the organization. You will be expected to manage and maintain our diverse IT infrastructure, including Windows, mobile device management (MDM), DLP, and HVA solution. You will interact with various departments and listen to their technical needs to implement IT solutions to resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders to design and implement technology solutions aligned with current standards and requirements.
- Evaluate new systems, policies, standards, and procedures related to technology deployment and management.
- Manage Cybersecurity management tools (Intune, DLP, HVA, …etc)
- Maintain compliance with patching and updating requirements for third-party software.
- Act as an escalation point for both enterprise-wide client issues and complex support requests from internal teams.
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with system and software standards.
- Provide user education and training on supported technology systems.
- Effectively communicate technical and non-technical information, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain data security and confidentiality in accordance with all applicable regulations.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest trends in enterprise end-user computing.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT support role (Desktop Support or System Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing SIEM and Credential Vault solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, privileged access management, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Intune Endpoint Management administration
- Experience with Apple device management
- Experience with software packaging using commercial tools
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Service administration for user/workstation management
- Experience with print server administration
Desired Experience & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Strong knowledge of IAM concepts and tools like Okta, LDAP, or Active Directory.
- Familiarity with various security tools such as firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), DLP systems, HVA solutions, and anti-virus/anti-malware software.
- Industry-recognized certifications for Microsoft and/or Linux
