Customer Description

Our government customer's mission is to develop and operate reconnaissance systems and conduct intelligence-related activities for U.S. National Security. The customer relies on an innovative and reliable IT solutions that enable communication within the Intelligence Community to share actionable intelligence on both mission-enabled systems and those centered on the day-to-day business aspects within the agency.

Program Description

The program provides insider threat support to reduce risks to the performance of the Agency. The program focus areas include analytical services, insider threat analysis support, counterintelligence IT architectures, counterintelligence inquiries, and referent activities. Our program enables this insider threat function by providing an advanced data and analytics environment by ingesting data from multiple sources (structured or unstructured), transforming it into interpretable fragments, and allowing our engines to categorize, quantify, distill, and display results for human analysts to interpret.

Team Description

Our Insider Threat Detection program is manned by a team of system and data engineers, data scientists, software developers, intelligence analysts, and investigators that provide insider threat detection and counterintelligence services. Our team works closely with our customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Our technology stack is built with multiple Windows and Linux environments interfacing with multi-petabyte data processing and analytic platforms - all designed, built, and maintained by our team.

Job Description

This Senior Systems Administrator position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. You will work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. We are seeking a strong Senior Systems Administrator with a wide experience in Windows, Linux, and Network administration who will work closely with a small team of diverse skill sets, will develop integration strategies for new software solutions, while maintaining the health and wellbeing of the current infrastructure. Strong Tier1-2 administrative and debugging experience along with system/application integration experience is a must. You should be comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large array of COTS applications, work closely on Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts to ensure the infrastructure meets all requirements, be security conscious and ensure all deployments meet A&A requirements with DISA standards, and must be a self-starter and have the aptitude to work independently in a fast passed continuously evolving environment.

Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
DOD IAT II certified

Desired Core Skills:

Create and maintain Operating System baseline images
Gather and develop requirement from team leads and application users, research technical solutions, design and implement software/hardware solutions
Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements under supervision of the lead systems engineer
Performs technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
Develops and evaluates systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications
Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Proficient in Microsoft Infrastructure components
Proficient in Linux/UNIX operating systems
Networking experience and understanding of LAN/WAN, Layer 2/3 switching and routing
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex systems with little/no supervision

Preferable Secondary Skills:

Proficient use and understanding of systems administration concepts, principles, and theories
Proficient with requirements management
Experience with troubleshooting cameras/recording devices, A/V solutions, and media streaming
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
