About the Job
The Arizona State Retirement System is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join its Technology Services Division. This remote position requires occasional in-office attendance and is intended to transition to a full-time role after 6-9 months. The selected candidate will work closely with various IT teams, including Information Security and Service Desk, to deploy and maintain a stable and high-performing infrastructure and application environment.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, and maintain ASRS infrastructure and applications
- Monitor and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues proactively
- Document systems and team procedures accurately
- Manage multi-tiered COTS applications, public-cloud services, and physical/virtual servers
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Adhere to Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Management processes
- Perform IT Service Management functions including ticket creation and user communication
Qualifications
- One or more relevant industry-accepted certifications (AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, etc.)
- Five years of experience as a server/network administrator in a medium-large enterprise
Education Requirements
- BS in Computer/Information Systems or equivalent experience
Education Requirements Credential Category
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in server/network administration
- Familiarity with the Arizona Procurement Portal and related systems is a plus

Public-cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure). g. Secure remote access, remote desktop/VDI solutions. 5. Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or similar platforms. 6. Do you have experience in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise environment (public cloud and on-premises). 7. Do you have familiarity with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, 8. Do you have Configuration, and Change Management) experience. 9. Do you have the ability to work independently and adapt to changing agency needs. 10. Do you have experience using the Arizona Procurement Portal (APP) and familiarity with tools like DOORS or the LPA DBE System. - Nice to have: 11.
