Position Summary
Join our dynamic team of four engineers dedicated solely to IT integrations. As an IT Integration Sr. System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in our specialized team, focusing on seamless integration and migration of various infrastructure types. You will report directly to the VP of IT Integrations, ensuring that all projects align with our strategic goals and are executed efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and Assess: Conduct thorough assessments of the current technologies and systems of newly acquired companies.
- Design and Plan: Develop comprehensive plans for system upgrades and integration to ensure compatibility with the company's existing infrastructure.
- Implement: Execute the design and perform system upgrades, including hardware and software installations, configurations, and migrations.
- Monitor and Maintain: Continuously monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other IT team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system upgrades and integrations.
- Train: Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on new systems and technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), network architecture, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- After-Hours Work: Be available to perform critical tasks outside of regular business hours to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Weekend Work: Occasionally work on weekends to support major migrations, updates, or urgent issues.
- Travel: Be prepared to travel to various locations as needed to support on-site integration and migration projects.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on system upgrades and integrations.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or Azure certifications are preferred.
