**Job Summary:**
BCT-LLC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join an exciting mission program. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic system administrator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10 years of experience in system administration and supporting large client-server based IT enterprises.
- Industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and networking UNIX and NT-based platforms.
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, performing system backups, and maintaining system configuration files.
- Fundamental understanding of operating systems and familiarity with UNIX or NT commands/utilities.
- Experience in installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies.
- Configure and consolidate server configurations.
- Verify the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.
- Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, email services, and security protection mechanisms.
- Ensure the interoperability of UNIX and NT-based systems.
**Additional Requirements for SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR IV FOR HPC:**
- Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of multi-vendor servers.
- Experience with Red Hat or SuSe servers with direct attached FC SAN storage or SSDs.
- Proficiency in distributing computing tools like ReS, LSF, and SLURM.
- Knowledge of HPC farm systems, HPC MPP cluster systems, and Front End servers of Special Purpose devices.
- Experience with IBM or HP Blade servers, multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.
- Certifications required include Valid RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification and Valid VMWare certification.
**Certifications and Skills:**
- IAT Level II Certification Required.
- Candidates with Lustre Experience highly preferred.
