Senior System Analyst at Hansen Talent Group (HTG)

Hansen Talent Group is looking to hire a Senior Systems Programmer, experienced on z/OS and MQ to work with one of the largest enterprises in Columbia, SC.

This is a hybrid role and requires at least 1 day per week onsite in Columbia, and as needed.

What You'll Do

• Write or debug programs to maintain and control computer systems software, such as operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
• Provide technical and disaster recovery expertise for systems software.
• Working on a multitude of projects ranging from installing the latest release of MQ to configuring MQ on servers.
• Resolving test and production issues that arise.
• Working on customer requests such as creating a new queues, queue manager, and changing queue depth.
• Internal monitoring such as checking queue depth.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Demonstrated Mainframe/host experience
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ for z/OS
• Experience creating/maintaining a queue manager and queues.
• Strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, control languages, development, quality assurance, and implementation strategies of systems software.
• Thorough understanding of currently utilized systems programming productivity tools and their use.
• Ability to review and analyze systems software and recommend performance solutions.
