Title: Senior System Administrator

Role Description:
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Managed Services Provider . This individual will be customer facing and responsible for monitoring and management of large, complex global enterprise IT infrastructure. This individual will be supported by a remote 24x7 team but will periodically be on call for quarterbacking resolutions of Severity 1 issues. In the eyes of the customer, this individual will be the subject matter expert and the point of contact ensuring the success.

Responsibilities:

Analysis of hardware and software in a distributed networking environment utilizing network management and monitoring software and systems.
Providing technical support and guidance for customer IT initiatives as well as end users.
Recommendation of upgrades & patches and oversight of work done by a remote team.
Administer and maintain enterprise computer systems, servers, storage, and virtualization environments.
Ability to identify, track, and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
Conduct regular client meetings to review system performance and address concerns.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study.
5 years of prior system administrative experience in a complex corporate or enterprise environment.
Extensive experience with Windows servers and services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V
Working experience with administering cloud services in AWS and Azure
Prior experience with remote monitoring and management tools (RMM) such as Logicmonitor, New Relic, DataDog, Big Panda, DynaTrace, or similar technologies.
Excellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret customer requests.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Desired Qualifications:

10 years of prior system administrative experience in complex corporate or enterprise environments.
Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Prior experience with NetApp or similar technologies such as Amazon S3, Dell EMC, Fujitsu Eternus, or HPE 3Par.
Microsoft certifications specializing in Windows Servers, SQL Server, Server Virtualization, and Azure.
Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages for automation tasks.
Experience with patch management, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
