Location: Ft. Meade, MD, HybridClearance: Secret 

Telework: 50%

Foxhole Technology is looking to add a Sr. System Administrator to our team. The right candidate for the job will have a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive experience with 4+ years VMWare experience. You be working in a fast paced environment with the DoD supporting multiple cybersecurity systems within integrated lab/productions environments comprised of multiple systems on various platforms in various locations.  You will responsible for the implementation, configuration and maintenance for these new networks. You will assist the security team in ensuring the networks are compliant with DoD requirements. 

Job Description

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all VMware environments in the integrated lab environment and production for the ASV effort
• Provide recommendations to optimize and improve management of vSphere Infrastructure
• Plan and execute upgrades, installations, monitoring and management tools, security practices and overall support architecture
• Ensures the successful installation, integration, and deployment of virtualized environment solutions in across enterprise-level non-production environments
• Research, develop and implement solutions to enhance current systems
• Provide architecture and engineering support for the Client's performance and availability monitoring products
• Provide Instrumentation for proactive diagnostic insight into health of operational environments
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with operation, maintenance, and development of the solution set
• Fluent understanding of virtualization, preferably VMWare or Hyper-V
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience providing VMWare System Administration support in a large-scale virtualized VMWare infrastructure environment
• Experience and knowledge with designing, installing and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual center, setting up VMotion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as vROps/vRLI, VM Workstation, VMware converter
• VM Backup products and other products for virtualization
• Understanding of VMware Networking concepts like creation of Vswitches, different types of port groups, NIC Teaming and VLAN Problem management on VMware ESX 3.X and Virtual Center and motion
• Have solid experience in administering Linux and Windows envrionments.

Minimum Requirements

• Secret clearance (SSBI Preferred)
• Bachelors degree in related technology field
• 10+ year’s experience
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification, including Security +
• Self-motivated and works well independently
• In-depth knowledge of VMWare and ability to analyze data to solve problems
• Flexible and easily adaptable

Desired Experience/Certifications

• Experience migrating from On Prem to Azure Cloud
