ASRC Federal Netcentric Technologies, LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support ongoing activities on our KEOS contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Job Summary:
* The System Administrator will support mission critical IT systems and ensure all systems have secure connections, properly configured for network and standalone operation, are on-line, and perform smoothly to serve the needs of the organization.
* Will protect critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware. Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs including software and computer installations and upgrades, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and technical support for all users and projects that support the mission. Will provide knowledge, techniques and/or capabilities related to system cybersecurity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator for unclassified and classified government systems to include networked and standalone systems.
* Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, hardware, and system engineers, end users, and customer and IT management.
* Support multiple systems on government and contractor networks.
* Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
* Manage file structure and disk space.
* Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
* Serve as Cybersecurity Liaison/Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the organization.
* Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components.
* Support and maintain mission critical servers, workstations, and peripherals used for mission communications.
* Ensures all supported systems are maintained at the required security compliance levels for patches, vulnerability mitigations, and OS configurations under the US Government Configuration Baseline standards.
* Assist the Control System Analyst with ensuring compliance of CE managed control systems and COINE v2 server.
* Configuration and operational support of Apple iOS and other approved wireless broadband device types.
* Provide training and guidance to IT technicians to enhance capabilities for prompt resolution as needed.
* Qualified candidate shall have at least a total of six years of direct experience, preferably with at least three years working in a military environment and having familiarity with Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations. Associate and/or bachelor's degree will be considered in lieu of experience.
* Proficiency in MS Windows, Active Directory, Group Policies, and Windows 10/Server 2016 System Administration.
* Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
* Knowledge of DoD Security Policies and various ports/protocols.
* Experience in Windows Systems Administration, including building and STIG-compliant MS Windows servers.
* Active DoD 8570 IA baseline certification (IAT Level II) (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security).
* Experience with software/OS lifecycle planning and major version upgrades.
* Familiarity with computer hardware/software troubleshooting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
* Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements, and experience with LAN/network devices.
* Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
* US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
* Valid US driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
