ICON National is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee complex and multi-site commercial construction projects. As a Senior Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations on our most challenging and high-profile projects. Your extensive construction knowledge, leadership, and strategic vision will be key in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior Superintendents, fostering their growth, and overseeing multiple teams to deliver exceptional results in line with ICON National's commitment to excellence.

- Project Oversight: Lead all construction activities on-site or across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Client Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for ICON National on more complex projects, maintaining positive relationships with clients, design teams, and officials.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise, coach, and mentor junior Superintendents and project staff, helping them to grow their skills and advance within the company. Provide leadership across all project teams.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of workmanship by enforcing quality control policies and conducting regular inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Lead safety efforts on-site by ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations and ICON National's safety protocols. Conduct safety meetings and audits regularly.
- Schedule Management: Develop, monitor, and adjust complex project schedules. Ensure timely completion of milestones while managing multiple work streams.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring the quality and scope of work are maintained.
- Documentation and Reporting: Manage all project-related documentation, including RFIs, CORs, pay applications, safety programs, schedules, and permits. Provide detailed reports to senior management.
- Client and Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with clients, property management, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure project standards are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Training and Development: Develop training initiatives and provide hands-on mentorship to Assistant Superintendents, fostering their professional growth and preparing them for future leadership roles.
- Problem Solving: Anticipate and resolve on-site issues promptly, collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
- Project Close-Out: Lead project close-out activities, ensuring timely resolution of warranty issues, and completion of all as-built documentation.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record managing complex or multi-site projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead project teams.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook), PDF, and other construction software applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30 safety training certification required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not required.
