We are currently looking for a Senior Superintendent for a general contractor based out of Northampton, MA. We desires a candidate with ground up commercial build experience. This is a direct hire position with full benefits.

We are currently looking for a Senior Superintendent for a general contractor based out of Northampton, MA. We desires a candidate with ground up commercial build experience. This is a direct hire position with full benefits.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure overall safety on jobsite
- Supervise total construction effort in accordance with construction documents, budget, and schedule.
- Direct sequencing of construction through planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating phases of construction.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, expediting and placement of material deliveries, etc.
- Supervise subcontractors for contract compliance, quality and coordination with other trades.
- Provide technical assistance as required. Propose design change requests, initiate requests for information, advise on scheduling, and coordinate with project managers.
- Supervise employees. Ensure productivity, efficient use of materials, and contractual performance of the project.
- Complete all documentation, timesheets, daily logs, short interval schedules, etc.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
- Attend company provided training and leadership meetings.
- Comply with documentation as required in superintendent standard operating procedures.
- Represent company in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of construction techniques and methods of installation.
- Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
- Read, understand and execute technical documents and drawings.
- Adhere closely to safety guidelines at all times and maintain a safe work environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Standard work hours: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.
- Employee may work outside of standard work hours on occasion.
- This position may be required to work overtime.
Education and Experience (Required and preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial construction
- Valid driver's license is required
- MUST have a construction supervisor license
