Senior Substation Project Manager - Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is actively seeking a Senior Substation Project Manager for a major engineering client, to support our client’s team working from their office in Newark, New Jersey.

Job Duties:

• Plan and develop engineering projects in a wide variety of engineering fields.
• Directly manage groups of engineers, technicians, and other project support team members.
• Manage project budgets and schedules, being fully accountable for impact of project performance.
• Plan, organize, and supervise engineering project teams.
• Oversee the safety of engineers, technicians, and other project support team members in all projects.
• Maintain a presence in the engineering community, to remain technically adept, and to present technical papers and seminars.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering, and 10+ years experience, or MS degree with sufficient experience.
• P.E. license and/or PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience working in the electrical power generation or transmission field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work individually and in a team.
• Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
