Position Overview:
Join our client's dynamic engineering team as a Senior Substation Project Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead substation projects from inception through to completion, contributing to cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead substation projects throughout all stages, from conception to commissioning.
- Coordinate closely with Early-Stage Project Managers to define engineering requirements.
- Provide technical oversight to external Engineers of Record (EOR).
- Manage procurement and contracts for engineering services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on-site development and permitting processes.
- Supervise major material orders and project budgets.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in High Voltage substation design and engineering.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Experience with utility-scale power infrastructure projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of IEEE, NESC, and ASCE standards.
