AG Consulting Engineering, PC (AG) a design, engineering and construction management firm headquartered in Manhattan is looking for an experienced Senior Structural /Geotechnical Design Engineer to provide design services to the MTA. Will be required to work at the client site in Manhattan every day.
Position: Senior Structural / Geotechnical Design Engineer
Location: Manhattan
Project: MTA Bridge / Tunnels projects
Position Description:
Structural Design and Construction:
- Perform Structural Analysis and Design.
- Develop Project Specifications and Request for Proposal documents for Design-Build Projects.
- Create technical drawings specific to bridge engineering design and construction.
Geotechnical Design and Construction
- Perform design and design review of bridge foundations, abutments, embankments, scour protection and fendering systems.
- Assess data from the field.
- Evaluate geotechnical reports, pile load testing, slope stability, seismic design, and suitability of type(s) of foundations.
- CADD drafting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
PE License.
Twenty years’ experience in combined design experience in bridge related structural and geotechnical engineering including construction contract document development, drawings and specifications, construction cost estimating.
Must be comfortable with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; will require fieldwork.
