Our Structural Team designs cost-effective and safe solutions for a variety of education, commercial, industrial, military, energy, and public sector projects. The Senior Structural Engineer may serve as the Engineer of Record on multi-discipline projects or the Project Manager on structural prime projects, will oversee the creation of all project documents.
The Senior Structural Engineer must have proven leadership skills in project management. He/she will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external consultants, scheduling manpower assignments, managing project financials, and client relationship management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mentors and provides guidance for project drafters, EITs and engineers
- Create and delegate structural design tasks and calculations based on current workload needs
- Oversee the creation of project documents, including design submittals, plan check and bid documents, and other documents required by the plan review process
- Provide support of projects in the construction administration phase which may include responses to RFIs, change order requests, product submittal reviews and periodic site visits
- Completes assigned tasks within structural fees/budget established in project work
- Ability to represent structural team in marketing interview with potential or existing clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Current registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) in California is required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis), Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
8+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer delivering structural building design services
Proven time management skills including setting goals, prioritizing, estimating hours and completing tasks on time
Please Note: One opening is available but the right candidate may be located in any of the following offices: Fresno, Modesto, Visalia, Bakersfield or San Luis Obispo.
Compensation is based on experience.
