Senior Structural Engineer

An established client of gpac, a medium-sized, full-service architectural, interior design, and engineering firm, is looking for a qualified Senior Structural Engineer to join their team! If you have a passion for outstanding design and are seeking a collaborative and talented firm, then look no further.

What Our Client Firm is Looking For:

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to perform structural calculations independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in working with steel, concrete, precast concrete, and wood structural systems
• Confidence in both new construction and evaluating existing structures
• Solid understanding of structural system/component costs
• Ability to accurately develop project budgets and assess the impact of proposed structural systems/components

Requirements:

• Must hold an SE in the state of Illinois or a PE in other states
• 10+ years of experience
• Solid understanding of building codes related to structures, including live, snow, wind, and seismic loads
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Strong working knowledge of structural systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
