Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Remote Work 

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural designs of metal buildings and will play a crucial role in the completion of various projects from design to construction phases. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely on most days with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will also have ample experience working with PEMB, Metal Buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Lead structural design efforts for metal buildings, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with diverse project teams to deliver high-quality designs within specified timelines.
• Conduct structural analysis using software tools such as Ram Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar, independent of Building Information Modeling Software (MBS).
• Develop accurate engineering calculations using MathCAD to support design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and construction teams, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits as required.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree with a focus on Structural Engineering is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in structural design of metal buildings.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam; currently preparing for or have passed the Professional Engineer (PE) exam.
• Experience working within a diverse team environment on multiple projects from design through construction phases.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of leading teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling Software (MBS), with experience in software like Tekla Structural Designer being advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in MathCAD for developing engineering calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering codes and standards, including ACI, AISC, ASCE7, etc.
