We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Manhattan. Responsibilities:
1. Leading the design and analysis of structural systems for various projects, ensuring they meet all relevant codes and standards.
2. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow and develop in their roles.
3. Collaborating with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
4. Conducting site inspections and structural assessments, providing recommendations for improvements or repairs.
5. Preparing and presenting detailed reports and design documents, clearly communicating complex engineering concepts and solutions.
6. Participating in client meetings, providing expert advice and guidance on structural design matters.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to your work.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree would be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, preferably within the Engineering industry.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York is preferred.
4. Proficiency in using structural engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
5. Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles, and familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
9. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
10. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
