Senior Structural Bridge Engineer / Project Manager - T.Y. Lin International

Our team is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in our Chicago office. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad portfolio of exciting projects both locally and across the United States. The Senior Bridge Engineer will perform as Lead Structural Engineer and/or Project Manager; and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of structural design elements including preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, agency and subconsultant coordination. The ideal candidate will also assist with project proposals and business development throughout the Midwest.  

• Responsible for technical management of Phase I and Phase II structural design projects.
• Lead and assist in the preparation of structural design calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with applicable agency standards.
• Functions in a key technical role in both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects.
• Responsible for subconsultant and client coordination.
• Training and oversight of staff engineers.
• Assures the timely delivery of quality work products and services within the assigned budget.
• Assist with proposal development/preparation.
• Active participation in business development.

• Master’s degree in Engineering with a structural emphasis is required.
• Illinois PE and SE license required.
• 10+ years of structural design / management experience in bridges and specialty structures; Design-Build experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer analysis and design software; Experience with MicroStation a plus.
