I am currently partnered with one of the premier sports and entertainment enterprises to assist in staffing their rapidly expanding media technology organization. I am recruiting for a Senior Streaming Media Engineer who is passionate about building engaging video applications for a massive consumer base.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Create large-scale global products for live events, on-demand content, and other video applications.
• Join a team dedicated to solving challenging problems and enhancing digital products for an engaged user experience.
• Design and build complex streaming applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and high reliability.
• Utilize HLS and DASH to deliver high-quality video streaming experiences across web, mobile, and OTT devices.
• Configure and optimize SRT and RTMP for streaming video content.
• Participate in development, cloud architecture, and agile process methodologies.
• Maintain and expand your knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, and applications.
• Lead and take ownership of critical projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and streaming media technologists.
• Influence the innovation of video products used by millions of users worldwide.
• Engage in full lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Help reshape the way content is consumed across various digital platforms.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of experience in streaming media engineering.
• Experience with live and VOD (Video on Demand) streaming media.
• Highly proficient in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASH.
• Highly skilled with one or more video player frameworks; THEO, Mux, Shaka Player, Wowza, Bitmovin, etc.
• Codec implementation experience with AVC and HEVC
• Backend distributed systems development experience.
• Familiarity with Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) platforms and OTT integrations.
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of event-driven systems, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
