Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to assist Unitemp's Controller with the day-to-day oversight for accounting and treasury operations. This role will also interact routinely with business leaders across all functions and will be a key role in the Accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Compiles and analyzes financial information, enters journal entries into the general ledger accounts, reconciles account balances and bank statements
• Maintains complete accounting schedules and work papers
• Assist with annual budget and ongoing variance analysis
• When necessary, proactively follows-up with department leaders to obtain information
• Maintains a focus on accuracy and timeliness in all efforts and communicates effectively with Controller to understand deadlines and prioritization
• Supports month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Ensures accounting policies and processes are accurately documented
• Recommends ways to improve efficiency
• Assists with annual audit-related requests

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of proven experience as accountant
• Hands-on experience with ERP software packages
• MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Construction industry accounting experience is required
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant is preferred
