Our medical industry client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and advancement within the company. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification, experience with ASC 842, External Reviews, Audit, and Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work with external auditors
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Assist in the implementation of ASC 842 lease accounting standards
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (No exceptions)
- CPA certification preferred
- Workday experience highly desired
- Experience with ERP Software implementation
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the medical industry or public accounting
- Good job tenure and strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with ASC 842, External Reviews, Audit, General Ledger, Operational Accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
