QUALIFICATIONS
- 21+ years old
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field such as accounting, finance, or business management
- 3+ years of experience using automated payroll software and a computerized accounting system such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, with an emphasis on SmartList and Management Reporter
- 3+ years of experience with behavioral health Medicaid, including billing and revenue reconciliation
- Proficiency with computers and applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Problem-solving skills, courteous attitude, and tactful communication skills
ARE YOU THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT WE NEED?
In this accounting position, you oversee revenue cycle management and monitor the grants and contracts we receive from federal, state, and other funding agencies. You diligently manage full cycle processing, coordinating all aspects from billing to budget development. To secure future funding, you develop detailed knowledge of various agency requirements and provide financial reports to demonstrate our compliance.
Attentive to detail, you submit claims to Medicaid, review files and contracts, and generate revenue reports and other documents. You keep an eye out for pain points in our accounting processes and develop methods for optimizing these areas. By collaborating with your team and ensuring total accuracy, you help secure vital funding for our nonprofit!
