Job DescriptionThe Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for managing and executing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing support for financial reporting. The role will report directly to Senior Director - Finance and will work closely with senior management and other departments to maintain the integrity of the company's financial statements (i.e., maintaining the accuracy of the books), and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the overall accuracy and completeness of all financial aspects of the company.
Conduct monthly reconciliation and in-depth analysis of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
In collaboration with finance team members, perform all necessary monthly close tasks to ensure timely delivery of financial data.
Preparation of monthly journal entries including but not limited to revenue, COGS, prepayments, accruals, rebates, etc.
Review and analyze fixed assets, intangible assets and right-of-use assets monthly.
Maintain strict adherence to external and group accounting policies, ensuring compliance with established standards and GAAP principles.
In collaboration with finance team members, satisfy all yearly audit requests and requirements.
Assist with monthly cash forecasting via direct and indirect methods.
Documenting and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
Creating and managing financial reports for both internal and external parties.
Assist with corporate tax related items including quarterly payments, reconciliations, notice review and postings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of organization and follow-up capabilities.
Education and Experience
Degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant License preferred.
5+ years of Accounting experience
Public Accounting experience preferred
Deep knowledge of US GAAP with IFRS as a benefit
Expected Salary Range $62,500-$104,500
