SQL Developer Opportunity

Our industrial automation software client is seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with expertise in SQL Server and a background in programming with C# or C++. This role focuses on managing and optimizing databases, implementing logic to handle historical data, and integrating SQL Server both on-premises and in Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Development: Create and maintain SQL databases tailored to business needs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Performance Optimization: Write and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and indexing for top-notch performance.
• Historical Data Management: Build logic to handle and filter large sets of historical data for storage, reporting, and publishing.
• Security Management: Implement database security best practices, including role-based access and encryption.
• Cloud Integration: Work with SQL Server on-prem and Azure SQL Database solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve database issues while ensuring data integrity and availability.

Qualifications:

• Strong SQL development skills (joins, tables, etc.) with experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Server..
• Must be Proficient in a secondary programming language like C# or C++.
• Ability to design and optimize database architecture, including data modeling and normalization.
• Knowledge of database security and backup/recovery techniques.

Location: Clear Lake area, Houston, TX. Flexible hybrid work options available after an initial onsite period. Candidates must reside in the Houston area.
