This role includes configuring and monitoring security systems, developing documentation for system authorization in compliance with standards, and performing vulnerability assessments.

Job Summary:
The Senior Specialist, Cyber Intelligence is responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture by conducting risk assessments, implementing security measures, and responding to cyber threats. This role includes configuring and monitoring security systems, developing documentation for system authorization in compliance with standards, and performing vulnerability assessments.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare for and participate in security assessments and audits.
- Configure various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX to meet standards including 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DAAPM, JSIG, NIST, and CCRI requirements.
- Develop documentation for authorization of systems in compliance with NISPOM, JSIG, NIST, and RMF.
- Utilize and maintain security databases and platforms, such as SIMS and eMASS.
- Manage network architecture, including layer 3 to layer 7 switching and IP address schemes for EWAN.
- Implement VMWARE NSX with micro-segmentation.
- Establish VOIP/VTC systems using Cisco Unified Call Manager.
- Conduct vulnerability and compliance assessments to determine system and network risk posture.
- Review and investigate anomalies in electronic and manual audit logs.
- Assist with security investigations and incident response activities.
- Develop and deliver security training materials for general and privileged users.
- Stay informed of evolving security requirements and respond to security issues.
- Coordinate with the ISSM and FSO to ensure system security compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 4 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience is required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience as an ISSM or ISSO with RMF.
- System Administrator experience.
- Familiarity with NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, and ICD standards.
- Certifications: Network+, CCNA, CISSP, RHCSA.
- At least 2 years of experience in Information Security and Cyber Intelligence.
- 2 years of experience with RMF processes.
- 8570/8140 IAM Level 1 (or higher) compliant certification, such as Security+.
- Current and active Top Secret security clearance with polygraph preferred.
