Sr. Sourcing Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates sourcing activities and supplier quotations related to procurement of products.
- Manage supplier relationships through balancing number of requests, monitoring the frequency of RFQ recommendations, and providing feedback regarding cost and delivery for quoted opportunities.
- Analyzes the requirements of the product, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date product is needed.
- Collaborate with team to identify and offer existing product or functional equivalent as a customer option.
- Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested product.
- Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements and recommends to management for approval.
- Continuous analysis of suppliers to pinpoint and utilize their capabilities to enable competitive pricing and/or delivery while increasing efficiencies in supplier solicitation.
- Review all quotes for accuracy and completeness, including Logistics information provided by importing entity. Notify Sales of all discrepancies and required information needed to complete the quote.
- Evaluate all incoming quotes, including those associated with a closed opportunity and alert Inside Sales of any fitting the criteria for consideration.
- Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
- Negotiates the lowest possible cost and lead times for the product balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
- Collaborate with the team to determine feasibility of opportunity for EFC.
- Analyzes blueprints, specification sheets and program information to assemble quote package for suppliers.
- Discusses the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements with suppliers.
- Maintains timely control of inquiries, amendments, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Interacts with sales, customers, and suppliers regarding projects/prints
- Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Maintain supplier contact data to reflect new information on acquisitions, equipment, or capabilities.
- Review and update Opportunities to eliminate duplicity and make suggestions for a more LEAN process.

Qualifications:
- Fastener market experience is mandatory.
- 10 yrs minimum preferred working within manufacturing/distribution with knowledge of manufacturing sources.
- Global experience and knowledge is a plus.
- Be comfortable with computers, software and phone systems (i.e. SAP, MS Office and MS Teams)

- 8-hour shift
