Senior Software Engineer, Professional Services - Qt Group

About the Job:  

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Professional Services team. You will design and implement Qt-based solutions, provide training, and troubleshoot. You will collaborate closely with customers to ensure their success in Qt projects. This is a hybrid in-office position based in Boston, MA or Birmingham, MI.  

You will:   

• Act as a Qt Advisor, collaborating closely with customers to understand and solve their challenges, ensuring the success of their Qt projects. 
• Communicate directly with customers' development teams, providing expert service and fostering strong technical relationships. 
• Visit customer sites as needed to offer hands-on support and build in-depth understanding of their projects. 
• Deliver exceptional technical assistance, helping customers optimize their use of Qt to achieve project goals. 
• Provide work estimates for new service opportunities 
• Occasional travel may be required  

About You:  

• 5-10 years of software development experience, with expertise in C++ and embedded technologies. Qt experience strongly preferred 
• Strong understanding of software development process, including CI and testing 
• Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting abilities 
• Experience with resource-constrained devices in the embedded or mobile field 
• Graphics and video feed development experience (a plus) 
• Familiarity with agile development principles (an advantage) 
• Self-driven and able to work independently 
• Capable of providing on-the-spot technical solutions to customers 
• Team player willing to engage with Qt employees across the organization 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
