Senior Software Engineer - ProSearch

Our client, a not-for-profit association founded in 2000 with a mission to define, promote and improve the professions of privacy, AI governance and digital responsibility globally, is seeking to add a Sr Software Engineer to their growing team. This Direct Hire role will bring leadership experience and a passion for development of backend service design as part of a very collaborative team environment. Comfort and the want to work with new technologies is important.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with development team in expansion of cloud service offerings so that organization improves optimal use.
• Bring fresh eyes to assess current development efforts and suggest approach for improvements.
• Contribute to debugging of issues in a complex technical stack that involves virtualization, containers, and microservices.
• Collaborate with Engineering to further enhance the operation of their applications on a cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years working experience with NodeJS in an object-oriented development, structured in either a .NET or Java environment.
• Expert working knowledge of AWS and it’s service offerings.
• Familiarity with PHP, Java, or Python.
• Comfort in leading and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications preferred.
• Experience converting to headless CMS environment.
• Experience making enhancements to legacy ecommerce platform.
• Ability to speak to experience with data modeling.
