Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our cross-functional agile development team. Collaborating with business partners and stakeholders, you will analyze needs, design solutions, and transform ideas into high-quality software features. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization of our operations and enhance our overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
Experiment, test, and recommend solutions to address business needs.
Design, code, test, and deliver architecturally sound business solutions.
Contribute to team goals by test driving complex code and adhering to coding standards.
Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance design and code quality.
Advocate for best design principles and patterns within the team.
Mentor less experienced engineers and conduct regular code reviews.
Communicate application changes clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.
Increase application domain knowledge through functional testing.
Competencies:
Development: Develop solutions using best practices and standards of the applications language.
Impact Analysis: Understand how changes impact the enterprise and technical ecosystem.
Solution Design: Translate high-level requirements into technically sound, maintainable, and cost-effective designs.
Technical Domain: Possess a deep understanding of the technical domain and application architecture.
Quality Decisions: Evaluate risks and rewards to make sound decisions that yield optimal outcomes.
Facilitation Techniques: Organize and conduct workshops, meetings, and presentations effectively.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, with expertise in Java platform.
Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM.
Practical experience in data modeling, database management, and microservices architecture.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with monolith to microservices migration.
Prior experience as a technical lead in an agile and DevOps environment.
Advanced proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring REST, or Spring MVC.
Familiarity with JSON, AJAX, SOA, Rest/SOAP based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
Knowledge of API security, analytics, caching, and documentation tools like Swagger and RAML.
Total Compensation: $150,500 - $222,500 (inclusive of base salary and annual variable compensation package).
